“God Bless Macedonia.” This is the title of a book honoring the second Macedonian president, authored by Sveto Stamenov and Biljana Tanevska Spirovska. It was recently published by “Studentski Servis” in Skopje, with the financial backing of “ZAEV – One Society for All.”
Zoran Zaev, the founder and director of our foundation, wrote the foreword for the book. In his introduction, titled “Memorial Book,” he states:
“…A monument doesn’t have to be made of granite, bronze, or marble. It can be made of paper and words. It simply needs to be created with respect, love, and faith. Fortunately, there are still people who, true to their craft, know how to do this exceptionally well. Such are the renowned radio journalists Sveto Stamenov and Biljana Tanevska Spirovska, who have chosen to leave behind a work of honor and remembrance, a legacy for both present and future generations, marking the 20th anniversary of President Boris Trajkovski’s tragic death.”
It is also worth noting that, during the first year of his first term as mayor of the Municipality of Strumica, Zoran Zaev made the decision to erect a monument in honor of President Trajkovski in the city park. The monument, created by Russian sculptor Grigory Pototsky, was unveiled in 2005, just a year after Trajkovski’s untimely death. Regrettably, even 20 years after his passing, this remains the only monument in the country dedicated to his memory.
Our foundation continues to honor and support true values. This has been our guiding principle and will remain so in the future.
