Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously…”

Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously…”
(2 Corinthians 9:6)
Time, like a rushing river, moves forward with incredible speed, carrying our lives along with it. It feels as if we only recently welcomed the new millennium and stepped into the long-awaited 21st century, and yet here we are, on the precipice of completing its first quarter. With optimism, we believed that the coming centuries would bring progress and beauty, enriching both the world and humanity. However, we often forget that time itself does not shape our reality—rather, it is we, as people, who define the conditions of our daily lives. Optimism can quickly turn into pessimism when we witness the erosion of fundamental human values—compassion, selflessness, and integrity. The absence of empathy, excessive individualism, and unchecked egotism have made today’s reality starkly different from the “normality” of the past.
In situations where cruelty breeds cruelty daily, where divisions deepen, and nationalism resurges with alarming intensity, often emitting the scent of gunpowder rather than an olive branch, our foundation remains steadfast in its vision and charitable mission: to build a society for all.
In our third year of existence, our foundation carried out over 50 initiatives, responding to requests from individuals, associations, events, and institutions. Given that a year consists of 52 weeks, this means that we extended a helping hand nearly every week—a fact that fills us with pride and motivates us to continue our humanitarian efforts.
I am especially proud that, in a year marked by global conflicts, we played a key role in a meaningful and inspiring endeavor. In June 2024, Athens, Greece, hosted the International Conference on Peace and Sustainable Development, organized by the “Zaev – One Society for All Foundation” in collaboration with the “Alexis Tsipras” Institute. This two-day global forum marked the sixth anniversary of the Prespa Agreement, bringing together prominent political figures from Europe and beyond. Among the 40 distinguished participants were Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, as well as Johannes Hahn, François Hollande, Martin Schulz, Stefan Löfven, Nikos Kotzias, Miloš Vučević, and others. The conference addressed several key issues concerning Europe and the Western Balkans. As part of the event, alongside Alexis Tsipras, American diplomat Matthew Nimetz was honored with the “Prespa” Peace Prize in recognition of his contributions to regional stability.
As we reflect on our work in 2024, one thing is clear: it has been a victory of humanity over adversity.
We are all part of this world—men and women, children and young people, adults and the elderly, the wealthy and the impoverished, the disabled, the monolignuals and the multilinguals. We have opened our hearts and doors for each one of them.
Every aspect of our society deserves support and growth—healthcare, education, culture, art, sports, social protection, and the civil sector. We have extended our help to them all, making their journey toward success a little easier.
Our support, donations, and sponsorships have reached every corner of our homeland—from Strumica to Skopje, from Gevgelija to Tetovo, from Shtip to Ohrid, from Kriva Palanka to Gostivar, from Kuklis to Konce…
This is the only way we know. We exist to fulfill our mission and purpose.
Kindness should be a lifelong duty for every human being. When we fulfill this duty guided by our hearts, minds, and reason, we achieve a dual effect: we meet the needs of those around us and contribute to society as a whole and we also experience deep personal fulfillment. In doing so, we can awaken even a small part of the world we belong to, transforming it into a new source of human kindness. Reaching such a level on our life’s journey reassures us that new heights are not just distant aspirations but tangible achievements. And how wonderful it is to realize that we are not alone on this path. The more people who walk alongside us, the stronger our belief in a brighter tomorrow.
A precious stone remains valuable, even without being ground or shaped into a specific form to make it more appealing. The content, even if it doesn’t initially appear attractive, holds more significance than its form. Each of us carries a unique preciousness in our hearts, and it is up to us to decide how much of it will radiate light to those around us. We can draw a heart on paper, in the sand at the beach, or tattoo it on our bodies. It has become a fad to shape a heart with our hands and fingers to express our love for someone. While this symbolism is beautiful, true love should come from our true hearts. What our heart embodies reflects who we are and shapes our love for others. Without this kinship and symbiosis, it is impossible to bring happiness to others—and by extension, to ourselves. Is there anything more beautiful than that?
Words are not always necessary to send a “message” to others—whether they are close or far, familiar or unfamiliar, friends or adversaries. With illusive silence, without uttering a single word, you can convey much. Instead of speaking with your mouth, let your heart, soul, and actions do the talking. If they don’t understand you the first time, continue to offer humanity through love, over and over again. One day, it will find its way to the right places. And, eventually, these paths will become two-way streets, where many will learn to return love with love.
