27 June - Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day

Celebrating Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day on 27 June, declared by the United Nations General Assembly, which will focus on promoting applicable innovations in micro, small and medium companies. The purpose of this support is to facilitate the path of companies that have the potential to realize innovative business ideas. The support through this public call will be intended for projects that have a sustainable concept and a clear ambition for commercialization.

18 February - World Corporate Social Responsibility Day

Celebrating the World Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Day on 18 February, with the increase in the number of companies that with their transparent and ethical behaviour will further contribute to the protection of the social environment, sustainable development and prosperity in the community in which they live and work. Activities will be aimed at stimulating corporate culture and an innovative approach to governance, which includes a volunteer approach and community service. They should encourage change in the business community, given that by investing in social responsibility companies invest in their competitiveness, mostly because these practices have become a prerequisite for work and export to foreign markets (especially in the European Union market). The above activities should result in increasing the number of companies that with their transparent and ethical behaviour will further contribute to the protection of the environment and society, for sustainable development and prosperity in the community in which they live and work.

These observations will be realized through the following activities:

 Industry Collaboration Projects

  • Reverse Pitch Events: Host events where established companies pitch their current challenges and needs to startups where this reverse approach helps startups align their solutions with market needs and facilitates targeted collaborations, including networking sessions and follow-up meetings to deepen relationships.
  • Joint Product Development Labs: Establish co-working labs where startups and established companies can co-develop products or services where these labs can be equipped with advanced prototyping tools, testing facilities and shared resources to support collaborative innovation.
  • Global Startup Exchange Programs: Partner with international accelerators and incubators to create exchange programs where selected startups can spend time in different countries, learning from diverse markets and ecosystems, providing cultural and business orientation sessions to maximize the benefit of the exchange.
  • CSR Innovation Challenges: Organize challenges where startups and established companies collaboratively address global issues such as climate change, inequality, or health crises, providing seed funding and resources for the best solutions, and create platforms for ongoing collaboration and scaling.
  • Community CSR Projects: Facilitate collaborations between startups, established companies, and local communities to co-develop CSR projects, focusing on initiatives that address specific community needs and create shared value.
  • Ethical Leadership Training: Provide training sessions on ethical leadership, emphasizing the importance of integrity, transparency, and social responsibility, including role-playing scenarios, ethical dilemmas and discussions on corporate governance to enhance leadership skills.
