1 May - International Labour Day

Celebrating International Labour Day on 1 May, by taking concrete steps for social and economic inclusion, given that a fundamental human right is to be protected and safe in the workplace, and a feature of every modern society is respecting and valuing everyone’s work equally.

9 May - Europe Day

Celebrating Europe Day on 9 May by organizing a “European Week” on the territory of the municipality of Strumica, guided by the postulate that Europe is a concept based on common basic beliefs and convictions about freedom, democracy and human rights, not just a geographical landmark.

30 July - International Friendship Day

Celebrating International Friendship Day on 30 July, declared by the United Nations General Assembly;

21 September - International Day of Peace

Celebrating International Day of Peace on 21 September declared by the United Nations General Assembly as a day dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace among all people.

24 October - United Nations Day

Celebrating the United Nations Day on 24 October, which will be dedicated to the initiative to increase public awareness of the realization of the “17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” adopted by world leaders in 2015. Each of the 17 goals is a challenge for the whole world and their realization requires cooperation between all social actors.

These days will be celebrated through the following activities:

"Democracy in the Digital Age":

  • Digital Rights: Explore issues around digital rights, privacy and the impact of social media on democratic processes.
  • Cybersecurity: Discuss strategies to protect democratic institutions from cyber threats.

"Climate Action and Sustainability":

  • Climate Innovations: Highlight innovative solutions for climate change mitigation
    and adaptation.
  • Green Economy: Discuss the transition to a green economy and its implications for
    labor markets and social justice.

"Inclusive Economies":

  • Economic Equality: Address issues of economic inequality and strategies for creating more inclusive economies.
  • Social Enterprises: Highlight the role of social enterprises in driving economic and social change.

"Innovation Hubs":

  • Idea Pitches: Create innovation hubs where participants can pitch their ideas and receive feedback from experts and peers.
  • Collaborative Workspaces: Set up collaborative workspaces where participants can work together on projects during the conference.
