The “ZAEV – One Society for All” foundation, as it has done many times before, once again supported talented students who successfully affirm Macedonian education on the world stage. This time, twelve students and their three teachers from “Jane Sandanski” Secondary School in Strumica, who participated in the international competition “Mathematics Without Borders” from June 26 to July 3, merited our support. Our foundation financially supported the trip and participation of these high school students in this prestigious world-class competition, traditionally held in Nessebar, Bulgaria.
Competing with participants from 29 countries across the globe, including Australia, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Philippines, Burma, Malaysia, Nigeria, Ukraine, Malta, Turkey, Slovenia, Serbia, and others, the students from “Jane Sandanski” – Strumica were worthy representatives of North Macedonia, earning four awards. Ivan Garvanliev won three of these awards: a gold medal in the individual competition, the “Gold Star” for being the best Macedonian competitor, and a bronze medal in the overall competition. Magdalena Mucheva won a bronze medal in the team competition. The participation of the remaining ten students in “Mathematics Without Borders” was secured through their high ranking in all three rounds preceding the final competition, which speaks to the success of the students from Strumica. Notably, the “Jane Sandanski” Secondary School has participated in this renowned international competition for eight consecutive years. We at the “ZAEV – One Society for All” Foundation congratulate the students and professors on their achievements and wish them continued success in the future. We remain committed to supporting young and talented students from all over the country.
