In honor of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities: A wheelchair donation for basketball

Today, as the world celebrates December 3rd — the International Day of Persons with Disabilities — a day dedicated to promoting equal participation and inclusion for people with disabilities in all aspects of social life, the Foundation ZAEV – One Society for All continues its tradition of marking this day in a meaningful way.

This year, our foundation proudly supports the Association for Sports Activities of Persons with Physical Disabilities – Basketball Players in Wheelchairs, HOPE Sport. We have donated a specialized basketball wheelchair valued at 284,075 denars, generously provided by Nightingale AD – Center for Orthotics and Prosthetics.

Through this donation, we aim to empower the Association in developing the first and only basketball club for individuals with physical disabilities in Macedonia, which also serves as the national team in this sport. This support will facilitate the successful execution of both their domestic and international activities.

Our contribution aligns with the Association’s mission: to include as many individuals with disabilities as possible in physical and sports activities, assist in their rehabilitation, and foster social inclusion through basketball.

Together, we strive to enhance the lives of people with disabilities, as they are an integral part of our society.
