The “ZAEV – One Society for All” Foundation continues its commitment to supporting the publication of books that are significant for society and that satisfy the interests of both Macedonian and international readers.

Together with the “MAMAS” brand, our foundation fully enabled the publication of the book “Her Highness – The Macedonian Pepper”, recently released by the renowned Macedonian publishing house “ILI-ILI.”

The authors of this bilingual book (Macedonian and English) are the acclaimed culinary expert Mark de Jong, a Belgian of Macedonian origin, and journalist Svetlana Jovanovska. “Her Highness – The Macedonian Pepper” demonstrates that pepper from the Macedonian region, in all its forms, colors, and flavors, can go far beyond traditional dishes like ajvar, pindzur, and makalo. It can be the main ingredient in a wide range of culinary specialties, from soups and appetizers to main courses and even desserts. The book features 21 recipes by Chef Mark de Jong, accompanied by stunning photographs from the prominent Macedonian photographer Robert Atanasovski.

Our foundation is proud to have contributed to the publication of “Her Highness – The Macedonian Pepper,” with the hope that it will captivate both domestic and international gastronomes while promoting and popularizing the Macedonian pepper as one of the defining features of our agricultural heritage.
