The “ZAEV – One Society for All” Foundation proudly supported the participation of the “Veterans Volleyball” Club from Strumica in the International Tournament for Veteran Volleyball Players, held on May 16–18 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Alongside the host team, the tournament welcomed participants from Athens, Serres, Giannitsa, and Drama, with the Strumica veterans representing North Macedonia as the only international team.
With one win and two losses, the team secured fourth place, but the tournament was about much more than rankings. It was a celebration of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and the forging of new friendships between veteran athletes from neighboring countries.
Thanks to this exchange, teams from Greece are now expected to take part in the traditional volleyball veterans’ tournament organized annually by the “Veterani Odbojka” Club in Strumica, held in December as part of the celebrations of the Day of the Protectors of Strumica – the Holy Fifteen Tiberiopolis Hieromartyrs.
Our foundation remains committed to supporting sports initiatives that go beyond competition – those that foster connection, community, and mutual respect.
