The “ZAEV – One Society for All” Foundation, in its fifth year, continues to support Macedonian athletes and sports clubs through sponsorships and donations.
Our foundation is particularly pleased to support sports activities, to show that there is more than just competition in sports. We are talking about those international sports events in which, in addition to the competitive character, the nurturing and deepening of friendship between athletes and the clubs to which they belong is manifested.
Such is the latest case with the International Tournament for Volleyball Veterans, held on May 15, 16, and 17 in Thessaloniki, Greece, and in which teams from four Balkan countries participated. The Macedonian representative at this tournament was the Volleyball Club “Veterani Odbojka” from Strumica, whose participation was financially supported by the “ZAEV – One Society for All” Foundation.
In addition to the hosts from Thessaloniki and the Strumica veterans, the tournament also included volleyball veterans from Razlog, Bulgaria, as well as the veterans of Belgrade’s “Partizan” from Serbia. The volleyball players from “Veterani Odbojka” – Strumica lifted the tournament cup in third place, but neither the final ranking nor the final results had primary importance. The main goal of this gathering of volleyball veterans from the four Balkan countries was to have a good time and strengthen the friendship already acquired. In the end, all four teams emerged as winners, fulfilling that goal.
This example should be followed by many in the Balkans, and our foundation will always support such and similar sports events, helping Macedonian athletes and teams to be part of.
